Integrating your Human Resources Information System (HRIS) with deskbird helps you automate user and group management without requiring SCIM. This setup ensures user provisioning, de-provisioning, and dynamic group structures are always up to date.
Below is a list of HRIS systems currently supported for absence or organizational sync. Please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for detailed information related to your specific HRIS system or if your HRIS system is not listed here. For setup instructions, you can refer to the linked Merge documentation.
💡 We are partnering with Merge to deliver and support these integrations.

7. FAQs
deskbird handles a removed employee in one of two ways, depending on what happens to the employee record in your HRIS. Both match the actions admins can take manually under Admin > User management: Users.
Deactivate – when the employee is set to inactive or terminated in the HRIS (most offboarding cases):
- The user stays in the user list, marked as
Inactive, and can no longer log in. - Upcoming bookings and schedules are cancelled, and assigned desks are released.
- Past bookings remain linked to the user.
- Recoverable: an admin can select Activate, or the user is reactivated automatically once they are set back to active in the HRIS.
Delete – when the employee record is deleted in the HRIS (same result as selecting Delete on a user profile):
- The user is removed from the user list, and their login is removed.
- Their name and email address are replaced with "Deleted User".
- Upcoming bookings and schedules are deleted. Past bookings remain in analytics under "Deleted User".
- Not recoverable: a deleted user cannot be restored.
💡 If a deleted employee becomes active in the HRIS again, deskbird creates a new user account that is not linked to the previous one. To keep the option of restoring a user, set them to inactive or terminated in the HRIS instead of deleting the employee record.
