With deskbird's schedule status sync, your team's schedule statuses (e.g., Office, Mobile work, Absent) are automatically pushed to their connected Google or Microsoft calendar. This gives everyone visibility into who is working where — without switching between apps.

1. Prerequisites
- Admin rights required: Google Workspace Super Admin or Microsoft Entra ID Global Administrator.
- Setup in a browser: complete the setup in a web browser (not within Microsoft Teams).
- One-way sync: deskbird pushes schedule statuses to the calendar provider. Changes made directly in the calendar are not synced back to deskbird.
- If you use an HRIS integration (e.g., Personio), absences follow the flow: HRIS → deskbird → calendar.
2. How it works
Once enabled, deskbird creates calendar entries for each user's schedule status. The type of entry depends on the calendar provider and the status:
- Google Calendar: Office and Mobile work appear as work location entries. Absent and custom statuses appear as full-day events.
- Microsoft Outlook: all statuses are shown as full-day events.
