We released our new HR integration. You can find more details here. We summarized and answered frequently asked questions within this article:
I already have existing absence periods in my HR system - will they also be synced to deskbird?
When setting up the integration initially, we will sync all future absences - as long as they already exist and are approved - to deskbird.
How often does the sync take place?
For new absences and changes in absences, we sync every 15 minutes. If new employees are created in deskbird, our system directly asks for all their approved absences every 15 minutes. For newly deleted absences, deskbird checks every 15 minutes.
Can I decide which absence types should be synced to the 'Absent' status in deskbird?
It is not possible to decide which absence type to sync. At the moment, we synchronize all types of absences' time off periods from your HR system to deskbird. They are displayed under the default status "Absent" in deskbird.
We have an approval process in our HR System - do you also sync pending time off periods?
No, we only sync approved absences.
We also have half-day absence periods within our HR system. How will they be displayed in the deskbird?
We will display a half-day absence period as a 'full-day absent status' in deskbird.
Can I also sync absences from deskbird to my HR System?
No, we consider the HRIS as the single source of truth for time-off periods, and therefore, the sync is intentionally one-way i.e. from the HRIS system to deskbird.
What happens when I disconnect the integration? Are all synced absence statuses lost?
The 'Absent' status will still be available in deskbird (without the HRIS Logo), and users will be able to change the status again.
My HR system is not supported. Can you add it?
Feel free to reach out to us, so we can check if your HR system is supported and can be activated.
I have an idea about an additional functionality for the HRIS Integration - how can I submit it?
We'd love to hear that! You can submit your idea on our public roadmap or vote for an existing idea.
