1. Get started in 2 steps
- Step 1 – A Slack admin needs to install the deskbird app via this link and grant the required app permissions.
- Step 2 – After installation, the deskbird app becomes available in your company’s Slack workspace. Each user must then add the deskbird app individually and log in using the Log in button in the Home tab of Slack.
2. Schedule your week from Slack
If you're using deskbird's scheduling feature, you can now set your hybrid work plan directly in Slack. No need to switch to the mobile or web app—simply click your preferred status (e.g., office, remote, home) for any given day, and your team instantly knows where you'll be working from.
3. Get timely booking updates & reminders
The Slack app keeps you in the loop with timely reminders and real-time updates about your bookings. Whether you're scheduling or canceling, your Slack workspace becomes the go-to place for all booking updates.
4. Receive essential notifications in Slack
You’ll get Slack alerts when:
- You make a booking in the deskbird web app: Book a desk, parking spot, or meeting room in the web app and receive a confirmation right in Slack.
- A booking gets canceled: You’ll be notified in Slack if one of your bookings is canceled.
5. Check in directly from Slack
If the check-in feature is enabled, you can check in to your bookings directly in Slack. When your booking starts, you’ll receive a prompt with a 'Check in now' button; no need to open the web app.
