deskbird lets you discover upcoming office events directly in your Schedule tab, RSVP with a single click, and see who else is planning to attend. Events are a great way to coordinate in-person days with your team.
1. Find an event in your schedule
Events you have been invited to appear in several places in deskbird:
- In your Schedule tab, days with an event are highlighted with the 🎉 emoji on the date.
- Below the calendar in the Schedule view, select View all upcoming events to see a full list of events coming up.
- When you click on a day that has an event, the event appears in the day detail panel.
💡 Only events you have been invited to will appear in your personal schedule view.
2. RSVP (accept or decline)
To respond to an event invitation:
- Open the event by clicking on it in your Schedule tab or in the View all upcoming events list.
- Review the event details: name, date and time, location, and description.
- Click Accept to confirm your attendance, or Decline to indicate you will not attend.
If calendar sync is enabled for your account, accepting an event adds it to your calendar as Busy; a Maybe response adds it as Free; declining removes the calendar entry. You will also receive an .ics file by email when you RSVP.
⚠️ Some events have an attendance limit. If the event is full, you will be placed on a waitlist automatically. If a confirmed attendee later declines, you may be moved from the waitlist into the event.
3. View attendees
To see who else is planning to attend an event:
- Open the event from your Schedule tab or the upcoming events list.
- The event page displays the list of confirmed attendees, along with the organizer's details, location, and time.
- If the event has a waitlist, the number of spots remaining is shown on the event page.
💡 Seeing who is attending can help you decide whether to come into the office on that day and coordinate plans with colleagues.
