deskbird lets you plan your hybrid work week, book a desk or parking spot, and check in when you arrive — all from the web, the mobile app, or Microsoft Teams. This guide walks you through the five steps to get up and running.
1. Access deskbird
deskbird is available on three platforms — use whichever fits your workflow:
- Web app — open app.deskbird.com in any browser.
- Mobile app — download the deskbird app for iOS or Android. See Download and set up the deskbird mobile app for installation steps.
- Microsoft Teams — if your company has enabled the deskbird Teams app, find it in your Teams sidebar.
2. Sign in
Use the login method your company has set up. The options are:
- Microsoft — sign in with your Microsoft 365 work account.
- Google — sign in with your Google Workspace account.
- Okta — sign in via your company's Okta SSO.
- Email and password — enter your work email and the password set during account creation.
💡 Not sure which method to use? Ask your deskbird admin — they can confirm which login option is enabled for your organisation.
3. Plan your week
The Schedule tab gives you a weekly view of where you and your colleagues will be working. Setting your status helps the team coordinate who is in the office on which days.
- Go to the Schedule tab.
- Select a day in the weekly view.
- Choose a status: Office, Mobile work, Absent, or any custom status your company has configured.
- Repeat for each day of the week.
Your statuses are visible to your colleagues so they can plan around your schedule.
4. Book a desk
Once you have set your status to Office for a day, you can reserve a specific desk or parking spot.
- Go to the Book tab.
- Select the date you want to book for.
- Choose an office and floor. Use the filters (area, equipment, office functions) to narrow down available spaces.
- Click on an available desk to select it.
- Confirm the booking. It will appear in Bookings > Upcoming.
💡 You can book multiple days at once using + More dates — deskbird will assign the same desk across all selected days if it remains available.
5. Check in
If your company has check-in enabled, you need to confirm your presence on the day of your booking. Without a check-in, your booking may be automatically cancelled after a grace period.
To check in:
- Go to Bookings > Upcoming bookings.
- Click the Check in button next to your reservation.
Check-in is also available via the mobile app, Microsoft Teams, or by scanning the QR code on your desk. See Check in to your desk or parking booking for details on each method.
