Configuring the Single Sign-On (SSO) with Okta makes it possible to seamlessly access multiple applications using a single set of login credentials.
Please follow the steps below to set up Single-Sign-On (SSO) via Okta.
- Open Okta
- Go to 'Applications', and select the deskbird application you will use
- If the application is not created, please follow these steps:
3.1 Press 'Create App Integration' in the top left corner of the Applications tab
3.2 Choose 'SAML 2.0'
3.3 Name the app and optionally add a logo
3.4 Configure SAML
3.4.1 Single sign on URL: https://app.deskbird.com/__/auth/handler
3.4.2 Audience URI (SP Entity ID): https://api.deskbird.app/saml/metadata
3.5 Add these 3 attribute statements: first_name, last_name, email
3.6 Click 'Finish'
4. Once you have created the application, you can preview the dashboard screen. Next, go to the 'Sign On' tab:
5. On the bottom right, go to 'View SAML setup instructions'
6. Copy the following 3 values and send them back to the deskbird Customer Success team:
6.1 Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL
6.2 Identity Provider Issuer
6.3 X.509 Certificates

Once you have forwarded this information to the deskbird Customer Success team, we will proceed to input these values into our system, and we will promptly notify you of the outcome. And just like that, you will be successfully all set up with your SSO through via Okta!
