Assigned spaces is designed to simplify the users' office experience and make their bookings even faster. As a deskbird admin, managing Assigned spaces for your team is a breeze.
Follow these simple steps:
1. Log in to the deskbird Admin portal;
2. Navigate to Floors & spaces under Office settings;
3. Click on a floor and select the area and the space you wish to assign. For example, you can select "Parking Spot 1.”
4. Click on "Edit access" for the chosen space.
5. Restrict access to one user: In this section, simply specify the user who should have access to this space.
What happens when the assignee is not coming to the office?
Admins can also allow other users to book this space if the user whom it is assigned to is working from another location i.e. they set a status other than "Office" (e.g. “Holiday,” “Working from home,” “Business trip”). Note, however, that the assigned space is not automatically freed up for other users if the user whom it is assigned to does not set any status (“Unknown”).
To unlock the full potential of this feature, it is essential for users to thoroughly plan their week, in other words, select their status. This ensures that their assigned space is efficiently booked or released automatically based on their availability. In case of release, other employees can book their assigned space in their absence.
Your Spaces
Once you've assigned a space, users can see it in a new section of their profile called Your Spaces and on the Book page.
đź’ˇ Users can check in to their bookings directly when booking their assigned space, provided it is on the same day.
