QR codes revolutionize the way we manage workspaces. By scanning the code on their desk, users can seamlessly book it or check-in.
QR codes serve as distinctive identifiers that users can scan using the deskbird app to reserve their desk, meeting room, or parking spot.
Additionally, it facilitates the check-in process, when active. To check in on the day of the booking, users will need to go to their booking overview and click Check in. A little QR code symbol will appear next to it. Their camera will open, and they can scan the QR code to check in via the deskbird app. This is a very restrictive setting, and you should only use it if you want to ensure that people are present when they check in.
💡 Users can scan QR codes regardless of which check-in type they choose, even if the check-in option is disabled. By clicking Check in on the app and swiping the code, they will be redirected to the booking page of the specific desk in the deskbird app.
💡 If booking and checking in with a QR code still sounds like your cup of tea, you can generate your customized QR codes for your whole office, floor, area and single desks, by following these simple instructions. You will get a ZIP folder containing the PDF files of the QR codes for each desk, area, floor. You will need to print and attach those codes to the respective desks.
💡 Disabling or erasing resources and areas carries significant implications on QR codes. If you mark a resource or an area as inactive, any associated bookings will be deleted. Deleting a desk or an area will remove connected bookings, rendering their respective QR codes unusable. Before making these kinds of alterations (setting to inactive/deleting) to areas and desks, carefully consider the impact.
